First Aid Training


First Aid is the initial treatment given to someone injured or sick, before professional medical assistance arriving and taking over.

First aid training is appropriate and relevant to everyone, and is taught by using theory, practical demonstration and practice to help you to deal with a variety of situations with confidence.

Under Health and Safety (First Aid) regulations 1981, an employer has a responsibility to ensure that first aid provision in the workplace is sufficient. This includes:

  • Carrying out a First Aid Risk Assessment
  • Appropriate first aid training for staff
  • Adequate first-aid resources, equipment and kits
  • Information to employees regarding first aiders and support available

It is also an employers Duty of Care to support their staff with mental health issues.
